 Our client is seeking an experienced Project Control Analyst; the ideal candidate would be an experienced IT professional already involved in the planning and support of large and complex software development and integration projects and some experience with project scheduling/tracking using Microsoft Project.

In this role your duties would involve providing project administration, reporting, planning, collection and entry of project information, and delivery of analytical expertise, with the objective of improving the cost-effectiveness of the management of projects.  You will also assist project managers with the tasks involved in determining the scope, budget, resource plans, and schedule of projects. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, contractual requirements, and government procurement regulations. 
 
Your knowledge and experience will extend to applying standard project planning, control, and delivery assurance methodologies prescribed by the project manager.  You would be required to participate in contract performance variance analysis and risk analysis and prepare reports as required.
 
Strong interpersonal skills are required to source and agree data and hours from the teams before completing compliant reconciliation documents.
 
The role
The main focus of the role is on financial project support and there is an absolute requirement to have some previous experience in this area with willingness to up-skill in the other PCA competencies as required.
 
The primary responsibility would be to work with Project Managers to complete project reconciliations and facilitate invoicing for capital projects as well as minor works. This will involve interface with SAP systems to extract billable hours data and reconciliation against what has already been billed.
  
Additional Requirements
• Commercial background preferably with a financial or accounting background
• Service focused and detail orientated
• Experience with formal software development project lifecycle, processes, methodologies and quality systems
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Computing or IT related subject is desirable
• Ability to travel as required
