The Project Controls Lead Analyst position will be assigned to either a role in Planning, Cost Engineering, Project Controls or Field PCM or a combination. With minimal supervision, the individual at this level is responsible for independently applying advanced project controls techniques and analyses. The level may handle commercial issues and will provide leadership and guidance to less experienced project control personnel.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Cost Engineering: • Leads cost control team on more complex projects. • Leads in addressing contractual requirements related to cost control. Scheduling/Planning: • Leads planning and scheduling preparation on more complex projects. • Leads in addressing contractual requirements related to schedule control. Project Controls Manager • Leads project control activities (home office and field as needed) to ensure requirements are met. • Recognizes issues and advises and confers with PM and project team on matters affecting project execution. • Participates in key risk management discussions on project matters. • Ensures project team is advised of potential claims issues and notices given when appropriate and ensures project controls processes support potential claims handling. Field Project Control Manager • Leads with site teams to proactively address issues to ensure success. • Leads in shifting controls functions form home office to site as appropriate. • Supervises subcontract administration when assigned. • Ensures FPMS is set up and used properly. • Ensures startup planning is to the full level of detail needed to complete the project. • Interfaces with other construction functions to ensure smooth field operations.
6+ years in planning/scheduling, cost engineering, and/or contract administration.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
> Effective in developing, implementing and managing cost and schedule in large programs
> Proficient with personal computer platform, software and database management
> Expert user: Excel and Access
