Global Discipline Lead - Planning and Scheduling
Canada - Ontario- Mississauga
The Global Discipline Lead is responsible for providing advice, support and direction on a global basis for project planning standards and progress measurement, ensuring that Hatch processes, procedures and industry best practices are applied, as appropriate.
The Global Discipline Lead shall interface with Functional Regional Hub leads regarding work in hand / work in view, for their respective regions to ensure resource requirements and provide technical support are being addressed where required.
A core area of responsibility will be the ability to teach, coach, mentor and encourage active participation in professional and personal development across all Hatch offices and project teams. The Global Discipline Lead shall be responsible for identification of development requirements, ensuring that the needs and objectives of Planning and Scheduling for Project Controls globally are being achieved.
•In your day to day work ensure global compliance with the Hatch Working Together Safely Standards.
•Provide Planning and Scheduling advice, support and direction for Hatch best practice – Process/Systems/Tools globally.
•Ensure Industry benchmarking for Planning and Scheduling globally is implemented.
•Ensure Planning and Scheduling discipline fully embraced, implement the Project Lifecycle Process (PLP) globally and that all PLP documentation is maintained.
•Implement performance management criteria and monitoring systems (SPO/KPI’s) for planning and scheduling globally.
•Provide leadership, advise, support and direction for the continuous improvement of Hatch Planning and Scheduling procedures globally which include all material in the Hatch Knowledge Centre for Project Lifecycle Process.
•Roll out and monitor adherence of training (Process/Systems/Tools) in Planning and Scheduling globally.
•Develop and roll out a talent management system to monitor growth and performance of Planning and Scheduling employees.
•Assist with the strategic resource growth and development of the Planning and Scheduling discipline globally.
•Provide advice, support and direction for employee participation in ILP (Individual learning plans)/PDP (Professional development plans) globally.
•Work with Regional Project Controls Directors as and when required to ensure all Planning and Scheduling resource requirements are being achieved globally.
•Identify, mentor, coach New Generation leaders.
•Always provide mentoring, coaching, leadership and development in Planning and Scheduling globally.
•Implement and monitor Governance/Audit processes (Critical controls) for the Planning and Scheduling discipline.
•Attend major project gate reviews globally to ensure compliance to Hatch PLP and industry best practice standards are achieved.
•Establish a sustainable training train-the-trainer program globally; this resource model for the Planning and Scheduling discipline will be done in conjunction with the Global Functional Training and PDP Program.
•Develop and maintain training matrixes for Planning and Scheduling staff globally.
•Manage the Community of Practice (CoP) for Planning and Scheduling.
•Supplying technical expertise on Planning and Scheduling globally.
•Promote Project Controls function globally.
1.Qualifications and Experience
•A relevant 4 year university degree.
•Desirable post graduate relevant studies.
•AACEi accreditation – PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) and/or EVP (Earned Value Professional).
•Minimum 15 Years experience including large EPCM Projects; Greenfield and Brownfield.
•10 years experience as a Planner and Scheduler in EPCM FEL 3 and 4 environments.
•5 years experience as a Lead/Senior Management Planner for a major international project.
