I used Pertmaster between 1989 (dos version) and 1996 (windows & risk beta) as a stand alone project management planning tool. At that time I found it to be faster than power project on scheduling and a robust planners tool. During that time the original company was taken over initially by JJJ and then People in technology. At that time Power Project was being extensively marketted in the UK as quick draw anyone can be a computer planner solution. Pertmaster then moved into Risk and became a Privamera partner, the rest is history.
In my experience Pertmaster can still be used as project planning software in its own right and has some powerful sorting/filtering/coding capabilities. Ok the graphics my not be as extensive as powerproject but then do you actually need to ability to drawn programme bars in 64 colours and many different patterns.
